The first season of the American horror-comedy streaming television series Santa Clarita Diet is successful at not being afraid to combine the two genres. Sure, there really is not much that is very scary. It is more in the subject matter than the atmosphere. However, it is still a show that knows how to entertain its audience, and it is genuinely hilarious in places. I guess that means you could forgive it for not being more of a horror show, although it is quite an original take on the zombie horror genre.
