When Clara denies the Bishop and Lady Mae their check, they split off in search of a new solution to their IRS issue. Mae goes to Connie Sykes with the idea of taking Calvary over from the Bishop, but the Deacon Board thinks Grace would be a better fit. Grace adamantly resists, citing her unconventional ideas for the future. Bishop goes back to Rochelle and apologizes, intent on using her knowledge of cryptocurrencies to make an investment. Rochelle rudely turns him away, before deciding to take his business. Tasha - under Rochelle's instruction to start an embezzlement scheme that'll take down the Bishop and Jacob - uses her connection to Jacob to have him unknowingly sign documents that open a bank account in his name. Grace tends to Sophia after emergency surgery, which leaves her daughter unable to have children. Zora does early morning Bible study with Lady Mae. Kerissa is sad in Zora's absence.
