Biografia

Duane Journey celebrated his 30th year in the film and television industry by making his feature film directorial debut, with Hansel And Gretel Get Baked. He produced the 3D thriller, Julia X starring Kevin Sorbo and Ving Rhames, while simultaneously overseeing post production on his previous film, No God, No Master starring Academy Award Nominee, David Strathairn, Ray Wise and Sam Whitmire.

He began the directing phase of his career doing commercials for Aeria Games, Clikthrough Entertainment, Stacker Energy Drinks and Honda. He directed the self-help DVD for internationally known Soul Intuitive and Motivational Speaker, Eddie Conner. He developed and directed the pilot, Home for the Holidays for Velvet Steamroller. He produced and codirected the pilot for The Screaming Cocktail Hour with Jerry O'Connell, Krista Allen and Peter Stomare, for Spike-TV.

Journey was the Vice-President of production and Chief Operations Officer for Velvet Steamroller, an equity-based production company. While with Velvet Steamroller, he acted as Supervising Producer on 2001 Maniacs starring Robert Englund and Lin Shaye, which was released by Lions Gate; The Third Nail starring Charles S. Dutton and Krista Allen; Walking Back The Cat and Vampire Justice. He also oversaw production on the Hip Hop documentary, There's a God on a Mic with interviews by Will Smith, Jay-Z and Lil' Kim.

As Head of Production for Sierra Pictures, a company specializing in documentaries, Journey organized shooting throughout the Middle East for the ten-part series Hal Lindsey's Tour of the Holy Lands, and Hal Lindsey's Return to the Holy Lands. Mr. Journey also spent several years working for a television commercial production house, United Odyssey, Inc., as their Head of Production, overseeing the production of 40-plus commercials.

Prior to becoming a producer, Journey worked on the production side of the entertainment industry, coming up through the ranks as a Grip, Dolly Grip, Key Grip, Electrician, and Gaffer. Having a vast knowledge of the physical workings of production has given him definite advantage as a producer. Journey has also worked in television on the shows Sliders starring Jerry O'Connell, Alias starring Jennifer Garner, Felicity starring Keri Russell, and thirtysomething starring Ken Olin and Timothy Bottoms.
