Jan Speckenbach

German director, born in 1970. He studied art history, philosophy and media art in Munich, Karlsruhe and Paris. He debuted in 2008 with the short film "The Other Day in Eden" which was presented in the Cinéfondation section at the Cannes Film Festival. His second short, "Sparrows" (2010), was shortlisted for an Academy Award. In 2011 he graduated in directing from the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (dffb).
