Daugherty followed up Snow White and the Huntsman with an adaptation of the Young Adult novel, Divergent, which opened at the number one spot in the box office in the spring of 2014.

Born in New York, Evan grew up in Dallas, Texas, in constant creative pursuit. He attended film school at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where he studied all aspects of filmmaking before discovering screenwriting. He won the 2008 Script Pipeline Screenwriting Competition with Shrapnel, which garnered him recognition in the industry.
