Biografia

Agathe Bonitzer is the daughter of writer-directors Pascal Bonitzer and Sophie Fillières. She made her first on-screen appearance at a very young age and at age 13 decided to pursue an acting career after a two year theater course at the Érik-Satie Conservatoire. In 1996 she appeared in renowned Chilean director Raoul Ruiz's Three Lives and Only One Death. Agathe's performance in her father's 2008 film The Great Alibi led to a part in Christophe Honoré's La belle personne, which proved to be her breakout role. She next played a high school girl who stalks a writer in her mother's film Un chat un chat. The same year she played Pascal Gregory's lover in The Three Way Wedding, with Louis Garrel and Julie Depardieu. Agathe learned Hebrew from author Valérie Zenatti for her role in A Bottle in the Gaza Sea.
