Gerardo Naranjo

Gerardo Naranjo was raised in the small town of Guanajuato, Mexico. After his first short, Perro Negro, he was invited to study at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. His AFI thesis film The Last Attack of the Beast won the 2002 Directors Guild of America Directing Award and was invited to more than fifty festivals. In 2003 he wrote and directed Malachance, his first feature. He completed his second feature, Drama/Mex, in 2006.
