Nuria Giménez studied Journalism, International Relations and Documentary Filmmaking and has continued to further her training at seminars and master classes with filmmakers such as Isaki Lacuesta, Andrés Duque, Virginia García del Pino, Sergei Dvortsevoy, Patrico Guzmán, Wang Bing and Frederick Wiseman. Her first short film, Kafeneio (2017), had its presentation at DocumentaMadrid and at MIDBO. My Mexican Bretzel, her first film, won the Best Film, Best Screenplay and Best Directing awards at Gijon Festival and had its international premiere at Rotterdam Festival, where it won the Found Footage Award. She has also participated in Visions du Réel and in the Festival D’A, where she won the Audience Award.
