Heddy Honigmann

Famous documentary filmmaker, daughter of Holocaust survivors. She studied biology and literature at the University of Lima. In 1973 she traveled through Mexico, Israel, Spain and France, and later studied film at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. In 1978 she became a Dutch citizen and resided in Amsterdam, although her film career took her around the world. She passed away at the age of seventy, after years of struggling with multiple sclerosis and cancer. Her documentaries such as Crazy (1999), Forever (2006), El olvido (2008) and others, were selected for numerous festivals and won many awards.
