Mariana Čengel Solčanská

Mariana Čengel Solčanská is one of the most successful and influential Slovak directors and writers. She has directed six feature films and various medium-length and short films. She is  experienced in different genres - from fairy tales to dramas. Her thrillers The Kidnapping and Scumbag had a massive social and political impact and gained record-breaking box office in Slovakia. She is also a novelist and has written six novels.
