She graduated from São Paulo University Film School (ECA-USP) and also studied screenwriting at Escuela de Cine y TV in San Antonio de los Baños in Cuba. She directed the short films Spread through the Air and Bound, both shown at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival Critics Week special session. In 2016, she released her first feature film as a screenwriter and director, Restless Love, and in 2020 she launched the series He, She, They by HBO Originals, a project where she was the creator, screenwriter and director. At the beginning of 2023, the first season of the series 2Times was launched, with production by Disney/Star+ and herself as the director.
