Biografia

He studied Drama in Seville and then graduated from the International School of Film and Television in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. He entered the Spanish film scene with his first film, Solas (1999), which was awarded prizes in international festivals such as Berlin, Brussels, Cartagena, Havana and Tokyo; in addition, the film was granted five Goya awards, seven from the Circle of Cinematographic Writers and the Silver Fotogramas. Subsequently, Zambrano has directed the television series Padre Coraje (2002), the film Habana Blues (2005), which won two Goya awards, among others, and La voz dormida (2011), that also won several Goya awards, and prizes at festivals such as San Sebastian and Nantes, in addition to other documentary and TV productions. Intemperie premiered at the Valladolid Festival.
