Chris Goodger

Having gained a degree in photography at the London College of Communication, Chris Goodger began his freelance career as a lighting cameraman on documentaries and current affairs for television. He went on to become a Director of Photography on dramas and comedy for both the BBC and ITV, where he was able to indulge his love of lighting and composition.

More recently Chris was the Director of Photography on the BAFTA nominated feature film KAJAKI - known as KILO TWO BRAVO in North America - a gritty film that realistically portrays the horrors of the Afghan War.

Making ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS: THE MOVIE has been a creative dream for Chris. He explains that it was important for the essence of the film to remain true to its original television style: "The cinematic challenge was in adapting this iconic TV classic comedy extravagantly to the big screen. Ultimately the exotic locations, flamboyant cast and impressive production design all helped visually to create a dynamic production."
