Biografia
David Cronenberg (b. 1943, Toronto) has enriched the cinema world with his disturbing film offerings for more than 45 years. After piquing interest with his short works, he foreshadowed his favorite themes in the fantasy projects Stereo (1969) and Crimes of the Future (1970): gender metamorphosis, social phobias, and the relationship between the organic world and the psychological state. He rose in popularity thanks to experiments in the B-grade genres of sci-fi and horror, including Scanners (1980), Videodrome (1982), The Dead Zone (1983), and The Fly (1986). His mature period is best characterized by the films Dead Ringers (1988), Crash (1996), A History of Violence (2005), Eastern Promises (2007), and A Dangerous Method (2011).
