Biografia
Mikel Gurrea graduated in Audiovisual Communication at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and completed a Master's in Filmmaking at the London Film School. He has directed the short films Primo (2008), Los gatos del tejado (The Cats on the Roof, 2009), Rojo en el agua (Red in the Water, 2010), Txoria (2013), Foxes (2015), winner of an award at Montreal Festival, and Heltzear (2021), which participated in the short film competition of Venice Festival's Orizzonti section. Suro is his first feature film.
