Filip Marek

Filip Marek was born in Prague in 1990. He has been making films together with his classmate Jan Strejcovský since the 7th grade. After high school, he began studying cinematography at the film school in Písek and in his second year he was accepted to the cinematography study programme of the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Apart from short films, he makes music videos, teasers and commercials. In 2013, he won the Panavision Young Cinematographer Award. His last work – music video for the band Deaths – was the first Czech music video to be premiered at newness.com. He is currently finishing his bachelor's degree at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
