Dutch director, Mischa Rozema is also co-founder and Creative Director of PostPanic, an Amsterdam-based hybrid film company. Mischa's work is fundamental to the international reputation PostPanic has developed over the past 18 years and his uncompromising creative vision has won awards worldwide. Mischa is best known for his ability to take seemingly ordinary projects in unexpected creative directions. His background in graphic design and an intense love-affair with film, set him on a path of creating unusual visual directions, some just live action others animation. Some seamlessly combining a whole range of techniques including motion graphics and VFX. But always the story and narrative lead the way. Mischa insists on their being substance behind the visual directions and philosophy plays a dominant part in the projects he pens. The past 15 years has seen Mischa busy with high-profile commercial digital and integrated projects for both US and European clients including TNT, Nike, MINI, MTV, ASICS, Google and Vodafone. In 2011, Mischa and PostPanic created the prestigious main titles Year Zero for the OFFF Festival 2011 in Barcelona. The titles were met with worldwide critical acclaim and Mischa/ PostPanic were awarded, amongst other prizes for the titles, Best Film Direction at the Golden Drum Awards, ADCN (Dutch Art Directors Club Awards) and a Golden pencil from the One Awards in NYC. In July 2012, PostPanic Pictures (long format arm of PostPanic) successfully raised money via Kickstarter for Mischa's feature film project, Sundays, with stage one (a concept short filmed in Mexico City with lead Brian Petsos) completed Spring 2015 and securing Rozema/ PostPanic Pictures a feature film deal with Warner Bros. Stardust, another short film directed by Rozema and also produced by PostPanic Pictures, was completed and released in February 2013 and is still very much active in festivals worldwide raising awareness for Cancer Research.
