Paula Hernández studied at the University of Cinema in Buenos Aires. With her first feature film, Herencia (Inheritance, 2001) among other accolades she landed the Ópera Prima Award at the National First Film Competition organised by Argentina’s National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts and the Best Latin American Film Award at Brussels Film Festival. La lluvia (Rain, 2008) won the Special Jury Prize and Best Actress Award at the Huelva Iberoamerican Film Festival. Un amor (One Love, 2011) earned Elena Roger the Silver Condor for Best New Actress and received the Sur Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
