In my final analysis, Wishmaster 3: Beyond the Gates of Hell is just bad. The plot is shallow and it has nothing to entice us with, because even the wishes are not fulfilled in an interesting way, which is really too bad, because the film could have been saved by that. But the makers pretty much blew it. And that's a great shame. I'm not saying that I was charmed by the series, but more could have been made from the main idea in subsequent films.

You’ll watch I Remember You because you want to see an uncomfortable and dark atmosphere, which is what you get. It's as if the film makes you feel the coldness that spreads over the land, as if you know that something is wrong there. This is something that you want to see in a horror movie, and it's good. Icelanders know how to make unpleasantly depressing films.

Insidious: The Last Key is a bit of a softening of the series, the scary moments are not always great and sometimes you feel that it's all simply for effect and the real horror has somehow disappeared from the film. It's a bit reminiscent of the more entertaining episodes of Supernatural, in which there are also moments of horror. But that doesn't change the fact that it's still a very good and above-average horror film.

Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies is the kind of pure horror entertainment where you'll be well-attuned thanks to the fact that there are the gross scenes that go along with it, and that there's a villain who's so charismatic that you only have to take one look at him to know that he's really the asshole. Andrew Divoff does this perfectly, and this makes the second film above average.

Killing Ground could have easily been a little more gritty, but I still think that what we were presented with was quite a lot. The villains are exactly as nasty as you want them to be, and the fate of the individual characters is not pretty, but that was to be expected. Like I said, there's nothing particularly original about the film, but in this case it doesn't matter because you get what you want and it's good.

If you like vampire horror movies, don't let Vampireland spoil them for you. It's simply not worth it. I feel a bit sorry for the guys and gals who worked on it, who had to put in the effort, time and probably even money to come up with something that turns out to be their work. But I wonder if they are happy with it? I probably wouldn't be as an author, and I also don't know if I'd put it on YouTube.

Paco Plaza is good. He's a director who knows how to make a horror film, but for some reason I couldn't immerse myself in Veronica, because it didn't pull me in like REC did. Veronica is certainly not a bad film, but it feels like it's missing something, like it's too much of a safe ride that doesn't disappoint, but in my case, it also didn't impress me. This is still good craftsmanship, though.

I have to admit that Wishmaster isn't downright bad, but I would have expected more from the subject matter here. Mainly that the script would be a little more thought out and it won't be pushed unnecessarily into comedy rather than horror. At least that's how some of the scenes seemed to me. Given the period when the film was shot, the processing can both intrigue and discourage you.

The killing in Knucklebones is certainly not a great display of quality, so there's not much to look forward to in that regard either. That's why the filmmakers decided to spice it up with some nudity, but other than that they just go for the classic clichés you find in slasher films. What happens is too expected and too boring to really keep you entertained the whole time - there’s nothing interesting enough in the film.

Skip Dorm of the Dead. If you come across a film of the same name, try the 2006 version, it might be a little better. I can't help you out at the moment, I may make up my mind later. After watching the cheap 2012 American film Dorm of the Dead, I feel like there simply can't be many worse films - this literally oozes how the filmmakers didn't care at all about how this was going to turn out.
