At times, it's quite intense, but then it's killed by rather unnecessary scenes that try to force tears, even though none of them are genuinely powerful. But as a survival film for the whole family, it works quite well, thanks also to the casting choices, where there's no one particularly irritating, even among the children.

I'm sorry, but just because there are interesting actors in it doesn't mean that I will enjoy the movie when it has a clearly Christian-propagandistic theme. If you believe in God - but be careful, only the Christian one - everything will be alright. It won't be! It's better to forget about it and avoid the movie.

I don't know why I naively thought that this could be a good comedy. Maybe because I'm generally interested in the depiction of this topic, but it turned out to be just a big nonsense that is not really funny and doesn't have a single funny scene, not to mention that the sex is actually missing.

The battle for life, which I would imagine to be a bit more intense than how it was presented in the film. RAF pilots crashed with an important passenger and they are no longer fighting with war but rather with the elements of nature that are trying to engulf them. I was expecting something a little stronger after all.

Yimou Zhang has managed to direct beautiful films, touching, human, and powerful, even though they focus solely on ordinary people. But their stories are powerful too, and that's what this film is. Humanly beautiful and touching, with powerful scenes that appear ordinary at first glance. But the scene where young Zhao runs after her beloved with food, but can't catch up to him, is breathtaking.

In the main role, you have a guy who at first glance looks like a pretty boy, and there's actually no real reason here to think he's truly a jerk. Still, he's a person who needs redemption, and that comes through love, faith, and a theatrical performance. Shallow, simple, predictable, and above all, sometimes quite embarrassing considering the faith in God.

Survival Instinct is a British attempt at a proper survival drama, a game of cat and mouse that should be a thrilling film. But it turns out that it's not even remotely thrilling, and it's just an effort to stretch it to a runtime that could be considered a feature film. This seemed to me to be more important to the filmmakers than, say, the fact that it might be boring for the audience in such a case. And it's awful.

Honestly, it looked like an interesting film, but in the end, it just led to a conclusion that was somewhat expected. Brother and sister have lived together so long that they are unable to separate until a third person comes along to change that. I can't help but think the potential was crazy in this one. For me, it remained unfulfilled.

Although it almost seems like a psychological drama at the beginning, it ends up being a pretty funny comedy in places, mainly driven by Kaye's acting skills. At times, you even think that the guy had an unbelievable talent for various silly things, and it's quite a shame that he's not well-known here. Though admittedly, he's done relatively few films.

A comedy that is sometimes quite funny, but at times it slips into humor that is rather awkward or even pitiful. Jack Lemmon can still carry such a film in a way that you'll enjoy it, even though his character may seem straightforward in terms of acting. But Jack gives it just the right touch. Moreover, Virna Lisi doesn't let herself be embarrassed in comedic roles.
