You would have to watch this on drugs to see some deeper meaning. The animation is nice, though, and it has a strangely zen calming effect. Grogu is three years old today!

The original Lovecraft story is a different cup of tea, but the master also works with the unseen and unimaginable, which is hard to visualize. I dare say, however, that this is a very good adaptation with a solid Barnes and a disturbing Glover. The plot digressions are quite compelling and the ending is classically scary. The most compelling thing about Lovecraft is that the unsaid is always more frightening than the visualization, and that’s why his adaptations can never get a full rating.

Quite alright. Basically, it’s like the first one, only that the case is more tangled with Sherlock’s. Cavill plays a drunken Holmes and Enola discovers that being alone is not a good thing. The shocking casting twists aren't that surprising, because Black lives matter, just maybe if the shock at the end didn't stand on that alone. Enola misses much more than the viewer. The strike at the factory is great, at least we know why all factories are facing automation.

I don't really like singing competitions, but my daughter seemed to like this so I guess it was okay. The animals are properly bizarre, with the chameleon clearly leading the pack. The precisely composed soundtrack pulls the whole finale. The scenes with the monkey dad escaping from jail with Elton's background score are pretty hilarious. Great Frank at the end... I didn't hear the stellar cast; dubbing is unsurprisingly preferred for fairytales.

I’ve no idea why Spielberg chose this bland fairytale for a movie. It’s an average borefest that will barely entertain the kids, but with beautiful music by Williams. The only fun moments are when they fart.

Things finally start to get going and it's over. House of the Dragon is drawn out, but fortunately it has the excellent Matt Smith on its side, every time he appears on screen he steals the show for himself. Milly Alcock is fantastic and the first half of the series was a lot more fun because of her. Paddy Constantine gave the slowest dying performance I've seen so far with absolute bravura. But those protracted intrigues without much meaning are a shame. It should have ended with a proper conflict, not just before it.

A film about beer, on a trip to Vietnam. After Green Book, Farelly remained faithful to eccentric stories based on true events. An adventure comedy with an on-target Efron and an excellent if slightly underused Crowe. As the end draws near, it breaks down into a powerful drama about what war really is, about how poorly civilians at home understand it and why and who is actually unleashing it, a topic that is so important today. The information war where interpretations, conjectures and miscommunicated news create chaos that feeds on itself. It was a little short of a full score, but it was very close. The people running this war, they're not patriots. They're politicians. And they deal in the currency of lies. And if the lies continue, they're just gonna keep sending boys out here to be killed to justify the boys who already got killed.

Entertaining bits with almost no dialogue. An honourable exception is the verbal diarrhoea of Bunny and Ducky, who won't shut up, while Soul of the City and Chore Day - The Incredibles Way are among the best episodes.

Heavyweight romance in a visually appealing package. Old-fashioned narrative pacing, a charismatic Idris, and stories within stories of love and longing. This take on “Tales of a Thousand and One Nights”, also clearly Miller's heart project in the style of Terry Gilliam, it's a clean counterbalance to the mindless action everyone expected after Mad Max: Fury Road. This is more of a compelling movie for a date.

This show is absolutely outside of anything I would normally watch or enjoy. Unfortunately, Marvel has begun to include genres I dislike or avoid in their experiments. Also, a sometimes lousy, sometimes interesting attempt (the finale) to break the fourth wall. In order to make things interesting, K.E.V.I.N. squeezed The Hulk, Abomination, Wong and Daredevil among the supporting characters. The hammy script is based on the comics, but I don't read them. The inconsistent visual effects also spoil the overall impression, but to be honest, if the story was more interesting, I would forgive that. If it weren't for the stellar guest cast of already established characters, it would be awful. Tatiana Maslany is not bad, but the character of Hulk’s cousin doesn’t have much to offer, so it just glides on fashion trends.
