A mediocre one-off where Maggie tries out a Dino Grog stroller and mashes up Star Wars with The Simpsons. The story is a bit of a mess and the whole thing feels like a visual exercise in what Star Wars would look like in Groening's style. The screenwriters must have started their strike early.

A brutal satire on family relationships, as a new variant of Covid forces parents to kill their children. The black-humored story, with a madcap Cage and a terrifying Selma Blair, works perfectly, not least because the children are killed off-screen. The upbeat electronic soundtrack also helps a lot. A suspenseful bloodbath with a nice final twist where parents cheer for parents and the childless cheer for children.

The point of the first episode “my family will help me when I'm up to my ears in shit”, in the second episode becomes “if my family needs help, I'll try to help them myself and die”. Shazam is a recreation with a big drawback and that is the unlikeable Levi as the main hero and the even less likeable main sidekick. Otherwise, it's a pretty harmless flick about three sisters who want their due and one goes crazy and wants to destroy the world with a wooden dragon. There are lot of absurd things, including a pointless cameo; it’s good to fall asleep. I finished watching it on a third screening.

Quentin Tarantino fans present… Once upon a time in Nazi-burned Lapland… When northerners make something like a Western, can it be called Northern? The initially low-key conflict between a lucky prospector who stumbles upon a hefty pile of gold and a beaten Nazi commando in a stolen Soviet T-55 turns into a bloodbath that should be taken with a grain of salt and treated more as entertainment than as a statement with historical value and philosophical insight. There’s a lot of blood and everything is filmed by fans of the genre with gusto, good ideas and a feel for visuals. There's no one well-known in the cast except for Aksel Hennie as the Nazi Obersturmführer.

The fantastic saga of the Dutton family begins with a painful fall and a slow loss. Harrison Ford is perfect as Jake, a living monument to the old world, a monolith battling the modern world. And so is Helen Mirren as the matriarch who shuts the door to heaven right from the start. The domestic line is boldly driven by passages from Africa where we watch Spencer Dutton return home and one of the most accomplished romances I've seen in recent years. I can’t wait until 1924.

The slow exposition, the placement of the pieces on the chessboard, up to the masterful final double section, which is unmatched in terms of momentum. Great use of Bo and gaining respect for Mando. The attempt to be episodic struggles a bit with the larger story, but it all comes together nicely in the end. And there’s also the great Grogu, already riding on confidence and showing that he made the right choice. Excellent ending!

I'm not the target audience so I can only judge by observation that this is a great for girls. The princesses fly here and there, help people, solve problems. For example, they solve a problem with a hydroelectric power plant, which in a series for three year-old kids it’s something I wouldn’t expect. They also celebrate birthdays, organise festivals and play with cats.

It begins with a whirlwind of ideas and unexpected twists, but in the second season it started to drag a bit, to the point that I fell asleep with almost every episode. The ending, on the other hand, is another inventive bloodbath. I love this type of ending, and I was surprised to see that it could be innovated quite substantially as well. The Japanese are good, despite their sometimes excessive screaming. They’ve always been.

Man, I used to play Tetris all day. I honestly had no idea it had such a troubled destiny. Baird and co. managed to turn a historical excursion into an incredibly entertaining film. They cleverly adapted the events so that the film doesn't lose pace, and even sneaked in a car chase out of the money saved on ingenious pixel inserts. “Good ideas have no borders.”

Great premise! I wanted to see something like this, as a kid, 25 years ago. 65 had more potential. So many great possibilities. It could have been a solid survival drama, a horror film, an action flick for the brainless, but it's everything and nothing at the same time. It’s not bad, but not great either. There are few dinosaurs and the aliens sometimes behave like very stupid earthlings. Driver is good, but what’s the point when he doesn’t have much to work with. Beck and Woods wasted an opportunity and we won't see something like this in the cinema for a long time.
