Blood of the Beasts

Although the harsh images from the La Villette and Vaurigard slaughterhouses in Paris ruthlessly depict and emphasise the death of innocent animals, they are also a harbinger of documentary realism. Like Franju's other works, Blood of the Beasts establishes a unique relationship between the filmmaker, the viewer, and the performer. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
