The Garrick family is haunted by their own dark history. One by one they become victims of the supernatural force that is destined to wreak havoc until vengeance is complete. The goal of this evil rampage is to kill the one and only heiress to the family fortune. Whether or not she will survive has yet to be determined, but not before this silent killer has it's way. The London-based Norman J. Warren made a relatively conventional slasher B-movie about a series of murders. An evil witch from the 18th century that a family attempted to burn to death curses them, and gradually eliminates each of its members. Terror is an early British slasher movie that does not stick to the rules very much, so at one point there is a mysterious figure with a knife, an invisible entity, and at other times just things moving around the room. So, anything could happen, which offers quite a diverse range of horror scenes, but the padded-out and languid storyline trudges along and so, the movie drags quite a bit, although not too much of a drag. However, the final psychedelic scene is top-notch. Plus Peter "Chewbacca" Mayhew, although he makes a very brief appearance, pulls off a very theatrical entrance.
