In this tearjerker, Haines is a sailor who becomes the object of desire for Page at a dance while he is in port. She falls head over heels for him and rushes him over to meet her folks. But her mother despises him immediately and tosses him out. Page follows. The tables turn when he states he is not the marrying type and dumps her. After a change of heart, Haines goes back to Page's home to make up and finds her not there. She hasn't been home since she left with him. After searching for her, he finds her employed in the world's oldest profession in a seedy cafe. Though she is no longer sweet and innocent, Haines takes her for his bride.
