Katrina (Carmen Ejogo) is a single mother driving cross country to start a new life with her young daughter Clara (Apollonia Pratt) when their car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. As Katrina changes the tire, Clara wanders off the desert road and is bitten by a venomous rattlesnake. Desperate to save her daughter’s life, Katrina accepts the help of a mysterious woman, but after she miraculously heals Clara, Katrina is asked to repay the good deed by killing a stranger in exchange for the life saved. Without time to lose, she must wrestle with the morality of who deserves to live and who should die, before her daughter’s life is once again put in peril at sundown. (Netflix)

englanti There aren’t many ways to film this subject without it coming off as bullshit. And this isn’t one of those ways. It is rather a short-sighted concept that works with the motifs of the story in a self-destructively half-baked way. ()

englanti Objectively speaking, a total piece of crap. However, Netflix seems to be fond of horrors, so one PR agent or another probably thought that it might be a good idea to shoot some psychedelic bullshit about a mother who almost lost her child to a rattlesnake’s bite, throwing a bunch of nonsensical elements into the mix. englanti The American movie Rattlesnake is very deceptive. It turns out to be more of a trippy hallucinogenic psychological thriller than a straight horror movie that focuses on a willing woman to do basically anything to save her beloved offspring. It is quite gritty in places, although somehow, I felt like life just went back to normal and nothing more by the end. ()
