Objectively, this movie is not all that bad, however, I have not been to a film that has so awfully gone over my head for a long time. This movie is a comedy-drama with a slightly over-the-top garish style, the core of which is the story of a lonely and embittered cashier called Anna, who faces an impending dismissal from her job and, in addition, a ten-year-old girl whose father has disappeared turns up on her doorstep. Therefore, it will become a classic story that has already been told a million times, about two people of different ages and with different characters, being thrown together, and how it changes one’s embittered view of the world. Unfortunately, I did not laugh, was not moved, or entertained. It just seemed so unpleasantly messed up and annoying to me. [Sitges 2019]
