It could use a longer runtime and more detailed insight on the closing stage of the actor’s career, but otherwise this is a very inspiring and complex summary of Jack’s personality and his imprint on all those iconic film roles. Jack Nicholson is the last and the greatest star of good-old Hollywood and this likeable documentary will only confirm that.

A fifty-minute French television documentary format is suitable only as a small sample to interest people to the subject matter, but seldom acts as a complex and coherent picture of its subject. Even this documentary is quite condensed and is not chronological, jumping all over the place. Concerning the life and career of Jack Nicholson, I want to watch a documentary that is at least two-hours long, a documentary with a greater range of information and more interviews with figures he was involved with. I have no doubt that one will emerge in the future.

I didn't know much about Jack Nicholson's personal life until now, so I found this hour-long documentary quite crammed with information. After watching it, I'm just a little sad that Jack, for all his success and fame, was probably never really happy. (80%)
