An unnecessarily drawn-out film that's overly melodramatic and tries so hard to be emotional that it becomes boring. Unless you're a die-hard American patriot, this won't do you much for you... Moreover, I can't help but find Dennis Quaid and Billy Bob Thornton in wigs simply ridiculous and hardly believable. Davy Crockett as played by John Wayne is simply better.
