In a remote village in the east of Iceland, a mutilated corpse is found near the local port, just after the arrival of an international ferry. I enjoyed the first season more than I’d expected. At first, I didn't think I would like it so much, but the creators did everything right. It’s great that they didn't just focus on the investigation itself, but also on what motivated each of the characters’ actions and on their family background. I liked both the theme and its execution, and the cast topped it all off. Especially Ólafur Darri Ólafsson and Ilmur Kristjánsdóttir gave impressive performances. I had a great time, and I’m looking forward to the second season.
