englanti Godsend is an American production that suffers from having a very bad screenplay, which at first manages to engage the viewer, as there is something mysterious about it. Then it unravels more and more, and you start wondering why actors who are certainly not bad (Kinnear, De Niro) gave the nod to this terrible movie that only makes sense on the surface. ()

englanti Godsend is a catastrophically muddled thriller that fails in terms of emotion, believability and theme. It’s as if the filmmakers took an improvisational approach to shooting based on a one-page outline instead of an actual screenplay. The final cut may have also done quite a lot of damage. Incidentally, there are four alternate endings on the DVD and it’s obvious from the accompanying commentary by the director and screenwriter that they don’t why they shot them or which of them would have been best ending for the film. englanti This project would have benefited from a better and more experienced director – which Nick Hamm definitely is not, his direction is purely technical. From the beginning up to about two thirds through, practically nothing much happens in the film, and all the explanations, including the twist, are rushed at us in the final few minutes, and the film ends surprisingly early.
