Pays de Gex, on the French-Swiss border. P.A. and his group of friends are in their last year of high school. One hundred meters beneath their feet, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the most powerful particle accelerator in the world, is crashing protons into each other to recreate the energy conditions of the big bang and detect previously unknown particles. As winter sets in and P.A. sees the world shifting around him, he starts to observe strange phenomena in the environment. The changes are imperceptible at first, but gradually his whole world seems to be on the brink. (Cannes Film Festival)

englanti The writers are obviously fascinated by CERN and its research, but they develop the idea that a living being could disappear in the given area by “disintegrating into particles” in a terribly dull way. In terms of plot and drama, the film reaches barely 20% of its potential. The main character is uninteresting, the other characters are only lightly sketched and all of the events that happen in the movie should be just an introduction to something more attractive for the audience.
