Mon chien stupide

I wouldn't exactly call it a comedy, it's more of a light family drama where the central character is a writer in a creative and life crisis, not his dog. This inaccurate label is probably one of the reasons for the lower ratings, because it attracts a different kind of audience than those for whom the movie is primarily intended. Yvan Attal directed himself quite well. His unforced acting fits the subject matter well. I wasn't too impressed by the supposedly funny passages with the horny dog, but I liked the accompanying piano music a lot. (60%) (16.08.2022)
