englanti I only got into the series for one reason – Yoshitaka Yuriko and Mukai Osamu play exes here. I like both of them, haven't seen much of them lately, so this series was an obvious choice for me. Strangely enough, I quite enjoyed it. We're in a classic work environment where everyone has some problems, but of course they solve them with the help of this or that. In addition to the classic problems that we can encounter in any work environment series, here we have some extra ones, and the approach to solving those problems is not deus ex machina, but in a nice human way: let's talk it through and somehow we'll figure it out shortly. On top of that, Yuriko's character has a boyfriend, so when her ex comes to work, she has to set boundaries because she's incredibly happy with her current one (which bugged the hell out of me because I wanted her to hook up with Mukai). We just have a lot of characters here, some have major roles, some I'm just there to flesh out, some peek out here and there, but it still doesn't feel violent. It's actually quite an interesting insight into the life of a working woman who tells herself she wants to get home on time in Japan, i.e. made it to five? Ciao! I don't do overtime because I don't have to. Normal for some, but this is Japan and the main character is a woman! This just speaks to a lot of Japanese people and in a way it's controversial. Then her opposite is Mukai, who plays the hero, who is at work from one glimpse to the next and basically lives for work, nothing else. Their colleagues oscillate between the two and I think it makes sense to get to know them all. It was good. It's not necessary to devour it all in one sitting, but an episode or two a week is just fine. Well done. ()
