Jair Cabrera was born in Iztapalapa, the east neighborhood of Mexico City. High crime rates, lack of employment and deficiencies in education are some of the problems that its inhabitants face. Many young are directed to an easier but much more dangerous option: the small criminal gangs. While Jair portrays his neighborhood and the lives of his friends, he registers the increase in violence that exists in his environment. Now as a professional photographer, he’s a witness of how his neighborhood friends get involved with the big drug cartels in the Mexican capital. (Guadalajara International Film Festival)
