Norwegian director Hans Petter Moland has made a melancholy film that takes place in the very bosom of the beautiful Nordic nature. An aged man, played by the great Stellan Skarsgård, sadly recalls a long-ago summer adventure that quite dramatically influenced his future direction in life. I am thrilled to have seen a beautiful film again after a long time, during which I had no idea what would happen next. To make matters worse, Out Stealing Horses also provided me with a sudden epiphany - "We decide when it hurts." (90%)
