A fund manager who has recently become a paraplegic uses an unsuspecting group of physically challenged people as cover to smuggle his illegal earnings across the Swiss border. Although The Goldfish offers nothing innovative within the genre, it is an easy-going and briskly shot comedy with some really funny moments, especially by Luisa Wöllisch and Birgit Minichmayr, so you can forgive the film for its predictability. Alongside the comedy line, there were also a few more serious scenes that were not completely formulaic and felt natural. As a result, the film is between three and four stars for me, but since I had a good time, I'll give it a boost in this case.

I didn’t expect anything complicated and I must admit that The Goldfish was a pleasant surprise. An intriguing topic, funny lines, an unusual combination of protagonists with nicely twisted characters who you can’t help but root for. The institution’s final solution had me absolutely gobsmacked.
