Kristin Dibelius cannot understand why her son has been locking himself into his room for the past two years. All her attempts to get through to him have failed. Life in their three-room apartment has turned into a spooky parallel existence, the routine of which is disrupted when Kristin unexpectedly loses her job. Determined to bring the unbearable situation to an end, the single mother tries to get to the bottom of David’s disturbing behavior. Surprisingly, she discovers that he hasn’t completely closed himself to the outside world.
