englanti I was looking forward to another one of Vega’s works, and I’m really glad he didn't let me down. Although the investigator was no first-rate beauty, she immediately won me over with her verbal expression. So, since I found a relatable character right from the start, success was almost guaranteed. I enjoyed the story, and although it was obviously inspired by films like Se7en or Messiah, I didn't mind at all, it was all pretty much  steamrolled by the Polish influence :-) I honestly had a great time, and I would have given a five if it hadn't been for a few obviously overelaborate scenes. 4*+ ()

englanti This is my first meeting with Patryk Vega’s filmmaking craft and I’m already impressed by its brutality. Plagi Breslau is a mysterious crime thriller following a female investigator as eccentric as Lisbeth Salander in the Millenium trilogy – and I’m talking about the original Swedish version here. Every day, a new murder is committed in Breslau, so it’s clear that it’s the work of a serial killer. I liked the environment of Breslau, which is beautiful by itself and definitely worth of a visit. By making it a crime scene of serial killing, the director didn’t help the reputation of the place much, but I think that some shots of the city are definitely worthy of your attention. Plus the atmosphere like from Fincher’s legendary Se7en proves that the Polish are currently the kings of European film. Super gloomy! ()

englanti A really good, atmospheric and gritty whodunit until the halfway point. Then it turns into a ridiculous mess that's funny at times, but most of the time just more and more sad. With each "twist" the film becomes more and more stupid... and it started out so well! ()

englanti Poland and Patryk Vega is now a guarantee of quality. Patryk Vega, my favorite Polish director, serves up a very brutal crime drama with a serial killer who unleashes a plague week in Breslau; he brutally executes the scum of the town in public every day and it's big. Vega's style doesn't go down well abroad, but we sure as hell like it. The film has a great pace, a very smart detective and a solid killer with a good motive. There are two decent twists and gore! Every murder is very nasty (we see the preparation and the aftermath), and the autopsy will immediately make you think of Saw 3. The highlight for me is the scene where a stampeding horse runs around town dragging body parts behind it. Very good, but those who don't like violence will suffer. Vega is a Polish butcher! Story****, Action****, Humor>No, Violence*****, Entertainment****, Music***, Visual****, Atmosphere****, Suspense****. 8/10. ()
