Pity the Lovers

Óskar does what he can to avoid all women that show interest in him, but is secretely in love with his dog’s vet. Everything comes to a head when suddenly one day she is going to get divorced. Maggi on the other hand throws himself into one relationship after the next without hesitating, hoping for life-long love each time. With much humor, daily life is portrayed for the Icelandic brothers and their friends. Favorites are the 13-year-old friends Danni T and Danni M who spend more and more time at home in Óskar’s house. Maximilian Hult’s gracious drama-comedy is a true gem. (Göteborg Film Festival)
