The wildlife documentary White Wolves: Ghosts of the Arctic gives an insight into the life of a pack of white wolves living on the very tip of northern Canada. It is a dramatic and moving story of loyalty and devotion. Director Oliver Goetzl has managed to make a fascinating documentary about a family of white wolves on Ellesmere Island. The film follows the pack of female wolf Snow White over a few months, through a freezing winter with -40 °C to the sunny spring season and birth of her cubs. The documentary captures the unrecorded behavior of wolves in wild northern Canada, moments of vigorous hunting and patient waiting, plenty and hunger, and life and death. (Academia Film Olomouc)

englanti Nature can be infinitely beautiful, but also unspeakably cruel, as evidenced by this documentary, which offers a unique insight into the lives of the members of a wolf pack who (literally) fight tooth and nail to survive in an inhospitable environment. The film doesn’t pull any punches and portrayed the harsh reality of the area without any exaggeration. But this story is not only about harsh nature, death and starvation, but also about the importance of the pack, parenthood and a new life. White Wolves: Ghosts of the Arctic offers a truly powerful story and a plethora of beautiful shots of nature that frighten and fascinate at the same time. ()

englanti Ellesmere Island in the Canadian Arctic is an extremely harsh place to live. Only the toughest survive here. This documentary focused on a large pack of white wolves that the filmmakers followed for several months. They managed often to film very unique shots that show wolves as beautiful animals that can cooperate wonderfully to preserve the species but can also be extremely cruel when threatened. (90%) ()
