Dora, 14, is spending her holidays with Maria, her grandmother, for the first time, in a beautiful old house in the city of Salvador de Bahia. When Dora realizes that she will not be returning to live with her mother in Germany and had no chance to say goodbye to her friends there, she rebels. Gradually, however, she becomes interested in her new environment and in her family’s history. (Montreal World Film Festival)
