The directing duo Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein let go of reins and dive into the beefiest love film this year. It is the forties in Stockholm and Ninni’s wealthy parents run the charming amusement park Gröna Lund. On the other side of the street is the shaggier competitor called Nöjesfältet, owned by John’s overindebted parents. Now the flirt between these two heirs poses a challenge to the balance in the merry-go-round war between parks, while the actual war draws closer and closer to Stockholm. (Göteborg Film Festival)
