Promising author Fenton (Shiloh Fernandez) ruffled feathers and lost the love of Jessie (Ashley Benson) when he published a thinly-veiled story about her family in The New Yorker. Returning to New York after a year in exile, Fenton is determined to win back his ex - but she's engaged to someone else. A young writer returns to New York after achieving success, where he left behind his family and also some past problems that are now resurfacing and that he should address. Even though it could be interesting, especially considering the cast, it's a bore, and the only thing that stands out even a bit is New York itself, showcased in various shots.
