The Night Watchmen isn't a great comedy, nor is it a great B-movie, but it's definitely a film you can watch without feeling bad that you've seen yet another piece of nonsense. There are also some ideas that seem original, although the story is otherwise quite typical and the plot as such doesn't really bring anything new. I give it an average rating, though.
