The Dude in Me

I didn't think the film was too believable but in the end I can say with a clear conscience that it was quite fun. It wasn't completely without ideas, or lacking in action, fun, or love. The acting was, I think, just fine. I don't always crave a strong mega movie that will tear me to shreds. I may forget this one in time, but I was entertained for the entire two hours. 3.5 stars. I gave it a shot, but unfortunately I'm a little disappointed. The film has a great if not very original, but still openly embraced premise, where a local gangster swaps bodies with a bullied teenager. I was a little disappointed that they didn't make the most of that premise. Especially in high school, there was room looming for legendary scenes where the main character would wipe everyone out and give the bastards what they deserve, but this is only sketched out, and surprisingly the film turns into more of a drama, which I wasn't that into. The humour is minimal so at least the few fights could have been enjoyable. Story***, Action***, Humor***, Violence***, Entertainment****, Music***, Visuals****, Atmosphere***, Suspense**. 6/10.
