Spider

In Spider, Hora plays with the film material and with spontaneous animation on the surface of the film. Although it falls within the tradition of handmade films, it can be understand as performance art involving film as an object or recording medium. Hora scratches the image, sands it with sandpaper, paints it with ink, perforates it, attacks it, and etches figures into it. He sees film primarily as a medium for captures gestures and processes and the energies associated with them. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
