A married couple returning from an exotic vacation, a seductive redhead concealing her bizarre job, a bride in an advanced state of pregnancy, a young man obsessed with a computer game, and his mother, who has a similar relationship to domesticated pets. Six stories about ordinary people in extreme situations – reminiscent in some cases of a bad dream, in others of a well-executed practical joke. Talented debut director Paweł Maślona explores dramatic moments in the lives of several schlimazels and unfortunates with refreshing playfulness and a singular knack for mixing the tragic and the comic. With a tempo that can’t help but enchant, his scathing satire submits a consummate answer to the question whether or not a panic attack can be successfully transferred to the screen. The Poles are trying to follow the example of the French and the Spaniards, and they are definitely going in the right direction, but they still fall short of their quality. This film is a bit reminiscent of Wild Tales and maybe even draws a bit from it, but script-wise it's somewhat underdeveloped, although the finale is good, everything fits together nicely, but the typical shock effect doesn't come through. The humour works occasionally and boredom doesn't set in, but it could have been a lot better with a better director. Still, a cautious thumbs up for the Poles. 65%.

A pleasantly fast-paced short story comedy whose individual, loosely intertwined stories have a solid basis in well-constructed situations and even consistently escalate, but they are not always brought to a satisfactory point. As a result, this a fun mix, entertaining through funny events soaked in stress and gradually escalating pressure.

The story followed several plotlines that necessarily had to be logically tied up in the end, but it was done in a really lackluster way. Just as lackluster as the individual parts of the narrative. The film gave me the impression of being only half finished. It wasn't boring, but it wasn't fun either, just bland.
