At 89, Gertrud Forster has maintained her vitality and autonomy. Her greatest fear is to become senile and end up in a terminal care facility. An elegant Englishman comes to her home, assuring her that she had contacted him through an online dating site for the elderly. In a panic at this proof of her failing memory, Gertrud wants to take action to end her life on her own terms.
