The first person narrative is from the point of view of Grace, who has been crushing on dreamy Mark Mason for a while. When he asks her to watch his cat over the weekend, she is delighted at the opportunity to view his life - and apartment - up close and hopefully ingratiate herself with his much-beloved feline friend. Inspired by FLUFFY THE CAT written by friend and author Ingrid Nelson, Sarah chose this short story for its thin line between comedy and drama. With themes of comical, unspoken resentments and self-delusion to the point of self-sabotage, this mini-precautionary tale is for people who think they can connect with others without putting themselves out there - similar to how we interact through the internet.
